HIGH GREEN BELT FORM - PAL GAE 4

This form introduces using both arms at the same time.

1) Pivot left toward L I , back stance, left hand double high block.
2) Grab "collar" with left hand, cock right hand back, simultaneously pull "collar" with left hand and give uppercut with right hand. Arms are perpendicular and right is under left.
3) Slide left foot into a narrow back stance, left knife hand side strike.
4) Bring feet together (facing F), pivot right toward Rl, back stance, right hand double high block.
5) Grab "collar" with right hand, cock left hand back, simultaneously pull "collar" with right hand and give uppercut with left hand. Arms are perpendicular and left is under right.
6) Slide right foot into a narrow back stance, right knife hand side strike.
7) Pivot left toward F, back stance, left double knife hand block.

8) Push block with left hand, step forward into a long front stance, right hand stab.  Arms are perpendicular with right over left.
9) Pivot left toward X moving the back leg to come into a front stance, pull away with right arm slapping it to the lower back. Left arm doesn't move.
10) Pivot left toward F, front stance, left hand hammer strike "to the head."
11) Step forward, front stance, right hand middle punch, KIHAP.
12) Pivot left toward X, bring feet together, pivot left toward R2, back stance, left hand double high block.
13) Grab "collar" with left hand, cock right hand back, simultaneously pull "collar" with left hand and give uppercut with right hand. Arms are perpendicular and right is under left.
14) Slide left foot into a narrow back stance, left knife hand side strike.
15) Bring feet together (facing X), pivot right toward L2, back stance, right hand double high block.
16) Grab "collar" with right hand, cock left hand back, simultaneously pull "collar" with right hand and give uppercut with left hand. Arms are perpendicular and left is under right.
17) Pivot left toward X, back stance, left double knife hand block.
18) Push block with left hand, step forward into a long front stance, right hand stab. Arms are perpendicular with right over left.
19) Come forward (going with "pulled wrist") while pivoting left toward X, bring right hand up toward face. When you come completely around facing X in a front stance, left hand hammer strike "to the head."
20) Step forward, front stance, right hand middle punch, KIHAP.
21) Pivot left toward F, bring feet together, left foot moves left into a horse stance, left hand low block.
22) Pivot left toward Ll, move left foot to the left into a front stance, right hand middle punch.
23) Pivot right toward F, bring feet together, right foot moves to the right into a horse stance, right hand low block.
24) Pivot right toward Rl, move right foot to the right into a front stance, left hand middle punch.

1) Move left leg backward toward R, front stance, simultaneously do a right hand low block with right hand and a left hand middle block. This blocks a punch and a kick at the same time.
2) Pivot left toward Ll, back stance, left low double knife hand block.
3) Step forward, back stance, right double knife hand block.
4) Step backward, back stance, push block with left hand (big motion).
5) Step forward, front stance, right hand middle punch.
6) Pivot right toward R1, back stance, right low double knife hand block.
7) Step forward, back stance, left double knife hand block.
8) Step backward, back stance, push block with right hand (big motion).
9) Step forward, fi ont stance, left hand middle punch.
10) Pivot left toward F, left leg moves to a front stance, simultaneously do a left hand low block with the left hand and a right hand middle block.
11) Step forward, front stance, right backfist. Left hand is a finger away from the right elbow. Fists start at left waist (palms downward) with the knuckles facing each other, and then the right arm moves in a circular manner with the back of the fist "striking right under the nose." Back hand comes very close to your head.
12) Step forward, front stance, left backfist. Opposite from before.
13) Push block with left hand, step forward into an extended front stance, right hand stab, KIHAP.
14) Pivot left toward R2, front stance, left middle block.
15) Double punch (right, left).
16) Ready position - body and right foot faces X, left leg bends upward with left foot on right knee, right fist is palm upward on right waist, left fist is above right fist palm facing backward.
17) Simultaneously do a high side kick with left leg toward R2 and a high punch with left hand.  As kick falls, open left fist up (palm to the right).  When left leg hits the deck in a front stance, pull "head" in with left hand, smack "head" with right elbow, right fist is tucked in left elbow.
18) Step forward, back stance, right double knife hand block.
19) Pivot right toward L2, front stance, right middle block.
20) Double punch (left, right).
21) Ready position - opposite from before.
22) Simultaneously do a high side kick with right leg toward L2 and a high punch with right hand.  As kick falls, open right fist up (palm to the left).  When right leg hits the deck in a front stance, pull "head" in with right hand, smack "head" with left elbow, left fist is tucked in right elbow.
23) Step forward, back stance, left double knife hand block.
24) Pivot left toward X, left leg moves to a front stance, simultaneously do a left hand low block with left hand and a right hand middle block.
25) Step forward, back stance, right low double fist block.

HIGH BLUE BELT FORM - PAL GAE 6

This form demonstrates speed and each precise move. The speed is within each move, not between moves.

1) Pivot left toward L1, back stance, left double knife hand block.
2) Front kick with right leg, front stance, right hand middle punch.
3) Pivot right toward Rl, back stance, right double knife hand block.
4) Front kick with left leg, front stance, left hand middle punch.
5) Pivot left toward F, front stance, left hand low block.
6) Wind up with arms to the right, untwist simultaneously doing a high knife hand block with left arm and a knife hand strike to "neck" with the right hand (palm up). The "neck" you are striking is directly ahead. The feet haven't moved so it is still a front stance, but the body is angled to the left to give maximum reach of the right hand.
7) Pull the hands down to the left side as fists (palms down), do a high front kick with right leg. As kick begins to fall, stomp right foot (jump a little forward with left leg) down on "foot" (to prevent opponent from moving away), left leg goes toward F (behind right leg) to stop forward momentum, right back hand with left by elbow, KIHAP. Body is facing to the left.
8) Pivot left toward R2, back stance, left low double knife hand block.
9) Left leg moves left into a front stance, arxns come up close to neck and are crossed at wrists with fists closed (palms inward). Arms then "break away choking hands" by moving right fist in front of right shoulder and left fist in firont of left shoulder (palms outward) at the same time.
10) Front kick with right leg, front stance, double punch (right, left).
11) Pivot right toward L2, back stance, right low double knife hand block.
12) Right leg moves right into a front stance, arms come up close to neck and are crossed at wrists with fists closed (palms inward). Arms then "break away choking hands" by moving right fist in front of right shoulder and left fist in front of left shoulder (palms outward) at the same time.
13) Front kick with left leg, front stance, double punch (left, right).
14) Pivot left toward F, back stance, left double knife hand block.
15) Left leg moves to left to come into a front stance, simultaneously do a high knife hand block with left arm and a "jaw thrust" with right arm. The right arm will make an uppercut motion to "jaw" except the palm will be open and the "jaw" will be hit by the heel of the hand. The left arm does not retract to the waist from the double knife hand block to perform the high knife hand block, it simply gets there.
16) High front kick with the right leg. As kick falls rotate arms (hands closed as fists), like a basketball referee's motion for traveling, to do a right backfist. When rotating, the right fist will come all the way over from the left arm pit -- almost. Left arm does not cover right arm but will instead go to side. Kick will land into a front stance at about the same time the backhand is complete.
17) High front kick with the left leg. As kick falls bring left arm over to right side to prepare for a high block. Start left high block right before kick lands, and block will be complete right after kick lands. You land into a front stance.
18) Right hand will go behind left arm (crossing at the wrist) and both hands will grab a hold of "arm," pull it down to left side at the same time doing a high side kick with the right leg, KIHAP. You will land into a back stance pointed toward X doing a right double knife hand block.
19) Pivot to the left toward F, back stance, left double knife hand block.

LOW RED BELT FORM - PAL GAE 7

This is a form demonstrating power.

1) Stepping forward toward F with left leg bring both arms (as knife hands) above head crossed at the wrists (left is forward, palms facing left and right), come into a &ont stance, arms move down across body (hands become fists) to the sides. This is power. When the move is complete, you are a statue. It should feel as if a magnet is pulling you downward; nothing should be able to move you.
2) Relax. High front kick with right leg, front stance, "grab" around yourself (palms outward) and do a double block to the front. Fists should be shoulder height and palms are facing you (this is a power move). Become a statue.
3) Relax. High front kick with left leg, front stance, fists go to right hip (right over left, bones touching), fists then block in front of head (in an "X"). Something was coming down at your head and you're stopping it. Become a statue.
4) "Grab" whatever you just blocked, pull "it" down to left side at the same time doing a high side kick with the right leg. Land into a back stance, right double knife hand block.
5) Pivot left toward R, back stance, left side block.
6) Left leg moves left into a front stance (still facing R), right middle punch.
7) Feet do not move, left high block. Be sure to use your waist.
8) Right hand moves up to left wrist, "grab" whatever you just blocked, pull "it" down to left side at the same time doing a high side kick with the right leg. Land into a back stance, right low double knife hand block.
9) Right leg moves right into a front stance (still facing R), left middle punch.
10) Pivot right toward L, back stance, right side block.
11) Right leg moves right into a front stance (still facing L), left n~iddle punch.
12) Feet do not move, right high block. Be sure to use your waist.
13) Left hand moves up to right wrist, "grab" whatever youjust blocked, pull "it" down to right side at the same time doing a high side kick with the left leg. Land into a back stance, left low double knife hand block
14) Left leg moves left into a front stance (still facing L), right middle punch.
15) Pivot left toward X, fists come up crossed to right portion of chest, as left leg moves forward into a front stance fists do a lower "X" block. Left fist is on bottom, palms are outward, arms crossed at wrists. Someone just tried to give you a front kick and you blocked it. Feet stay where they are, fists stay crossed and come back to right waist, then they do a high "X" block in front of head (just like move 3).
16) In a moderate four-count, left hand is going to grab a hold while right fist cocks back. On the "four" of the count, yank back with left hand (it goes to waist) while doing a right middle punch, KIHAP.
17) Right leg is going to swing forward, the body will pivot left toward F (right leg is behind you in the air now), the right leg will swing forward and the right knee will cock up to your waist at the same time as bringing your arms up next to your left ear (fists crossed). The body will pivot again to the left now facing L, the right leg will stomp down hard on "person's foot" at the same time as doing a low block with right arm. You are in a horse stance facing L.
18) The left leg is going to move left into a front stance facing X, knife hand strike with left hand.
19) The left hand will rotate to where the palm faces to the right; it has just become the person's face. With left arm fully extended, slap your palm with the bottom of your right foot (toes up), pivot left toward R, pull left palm into right elbow with the right fist tucked inside left arm, land into a horse stance facing R.
20) The right leg will move to the right toward X dragging the left with it into a back stance pointed at F. At the same time as this, the right fist will do a backfist toward X while the left arm does a low block.
21) The right leg will move back toward X again dragging the left with it into a back stance pointed at F, and simultaneously doing a left double knife hand block.
22) The left leg moves left into a front stance facing F, right middle punch, KIHAP.

 

HIGH RED BELT FORM - PAL GAE 8

This form is a showing of good techniques from one move to the next.

1) Pivot left toward L1, front stance, left hand low block.
2) Perform a circle block with the left arm, move into a narrow back stance facing L1. Someone has grabbed your wrist, you are pulling your arm toward F while twisting your body in the same direction. The left arm crosses your waist, goes up past your chest, rises above your head, and then comes down to shoulder level with the arm pointing in the direction of Ll . The fist has the palm facing F. You have just pulled away from someone and then come down on him with a closed fist.
3) Step forward toward L1, front stance, right hand middle punch.
4) Pivot right toward Rl, front stance, right hand low block.
5) Circle block with the right arm, narrow back stance.
6) Step forward toward Rl, front stance, left hand middle punch.
7) Pivot left toward F, back stance, left double knife hand block.
8) Push block with left hand, step forward into a long front stance, right hand stab.
9) Right hand will rotate counterclockwise 180° while starting to lean forward, pivot left toward F, front stance, left back fist (shoulder level). Someone has grabbed your wrist. You are twisting your wrist to so you can swing around and whack him in the head with a back fist.
10) Step forward, front stance, right hand middle punch, KIHAP.
11) Pivot left toward R2, back stance, left knife hand side strike.
12) Left arm pulls away while pivoting right into a narrow horse stance facing D2, then pivot left into a horse stance facing X, left elbow strike. Someone has grabbed your wrist. You are pulling away with your arm, sweeping it in front of your face (not downward - the wrist has to turn), and then you are coming back at him with your elbow. When you are facing D2, your left hand should be facing your ear. To perform the elbow strike the arm will come down and to the left with the palm facing upward. It is in the same place as the cover hand (as opposed to the blocking hand) for a double knife hand block.
13) Pivot left toward R2, front stance, left middle block.
14) Feet do not move, right hand middle punch.
15) Moving the left leg, pivot right toward X into a horse stance. The left fist goes out to meet the right fist and then pulls back with the right fist into a set position (left is at waist, right is on top of it).
16) Left foot moves right to meet right foot, step right toward L2, back stance, right knife hand side strike.
17) Right arm pulls away while pivoting left into a narrow horse stance facing Dl, then pivot right into a horse stance facing X, right elbow strike.
18) Pivot right toward L2, front stance, right middle block.
19) Feet do not move, left hand middle punch.
20) Moving the right leg, pivot left toward X into a horse stance, right fist meets left fist and then both to set position.
21) Pivot right toward L2, right foot moves back to meet left.
22) Left leg cocks up, simultaneously do a high side kick with left leg toward X and a high punch with left hand. As kick falls, open fist up (palm to right). When left leg hits the floor in a front stance, pull "head" in with left hand, smack it with the right elbow. The right fist is tucked in the left arm.
23) Pivot right toward L2, left leg moves to a horse stance, fists go out and then into a set position.
24) Left foot moves right to meet right foot, right leg cocks up, simultaneously do a high side kick with the right leg toward F and a high punch with the right hand. As kick falls, open fist, pull head in, smack it. Kick lands into a front stance facing F.
25) Pivot left toward X, front stance, wrists are crossed and then break away "choking hands" as in Pal Gae 6.
26) Right foot stays still, left foot moves back slightly, both fists come back to waist, left foot moves back to regular front stance as you perform a double fist rib punch. You have stepped back to gain some momentum, and then your fists go straight for a person's ribs with your fists one fist apart (palms upward).
27) Step forward into a front stance, wrists come up into an "x" again and then block "choking hands." 
28) Left foot stays still, right foot moves back slightly, both fists come back to waist, right foot moves back to regular front stance as you perform a double fist rib punch.
29) Step forward toward X, back stance, left knife hand block. Someone has taken a punch at you and you are pushing it to the side with a knife hand (palm facing you).
30) "Grab" the wrist you just blocked, pivot right toward Rl, horse stance, right elbow strike behind you. As you are pivoting, your right hand is going up to gain speed and then comes down quickly to strike the person's ribs, back, or whatever you hit (he'll feel it). The right hand is open and facing upward at the end as well as being at the waist. The left hand that "grabbed" the opponent's hand is at the waist too.
31 ) Right leg stays still, pivot left toward F, feet are together, hands are in a cover position over groin (left over right) with the thinnest amount of space in between them (not touching).
32) Left leg moves left into a horse stance, both arms come up to a horizontal position between the nipples and shoulders with the fingers pointing toward each other and the palms facing downward. Someone has gotten you into a bear hug and you are lowering your body while raising your arms to get ready to strike.
33) Stay in a horse stance. From the waist up, twist right simultaneously doing a right elbow strike to the rear (palm open and upward) and a high left hand punch across your face and up to his. Then twist to the left and simultaneously do a left elbow strike to the rear (palm open and upward) and a high right hand punch across your face and up to his, KIHAP.
